The practice of mindfulness is like having a friend beside you as you journey through life. A friend who is wise and constant and wants the best for you and others around you. Why Equanimity?

Equanimity comes from the Latin aequanimitas which translates as 'equal' (aequus) 'mind' (animus). Perhaps we could say 'calm', 'composed' mind. but let's stay with the direct translation, EQUAL MIND

PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR MIND AS IF YOU ARE THE KEEPER OF A FLAME. TEND THE FLAME SO THAT IT DOESN'T BURN TOO HOT AND OUT OF CONTROL. PAY ATTENTION SO THAT IT DOESN'T DIE DOWN AND BE BLOWN OUT BY A GUS
