There are moments of wonder, joy, peace and fun in every day: a string of moments like pearls on a necklace. How many times are we never there for these moments because we are constantly pursuing some ego driven, clattering, cluttering, negatively biased and largely insubstantial storyline that robs us of today and makes us fear for an imagined tomorrow? Life lives itself. Trust it. Be there for it. Be there with it.

LUTE.

My lute set aside

on the little table

lazily I meditate

on cherished feelings

The reason I don't bother

to strum and pluck?

There's a breeze over the strings

and it plays itself

Po Chu-I
