DO YOU WANT TO BE PEACEFUL?

Updated: Jan 5

The Mindfulness approach to meditation requires that we work with our minds in preference to living under a restless and uncomfortable tyranny.

Here are some steps you can take each and every day no matter what is going on. When they become as natural as checking your watch or your phone the rewards will be evident.

Let it become a habit to say to yourself:

WHAT IS HERE NOW?

HOW DO I FEEL NOW?

WHERE IS MY BREATH AND MY BODY NOW? LET ME BE WITH THEM AND TAKE CARE OF THEM

WHAT MENTAL CONSTRUCTS OR FORMATIONS AM I GETTING LOST IN OR CARRIED AWAY BY?

DO THESE MENTAL CONSTRUCTS OR FORMATIONS HAVE ANY REAL EXISTENCE?

ARE THESE MENTAL CONSTRUCTS OR FORMATIONS PERMANENT?

LET ME SEE THAT NOTHING IS PERMANENT

AS NOTHING IS PERMANENT LET ME ALWAYS BE AWARE THAT CLINGING AND CRAVING NEED TO BE MANAGED WISELY WHENEVER THEY ARISE. THEY DO NOT AND CANNOT BRING PEACE

I HAVE THE ABILITY TO DETACH FROM MENTAL CONSTRUCTS OR FORMATIONS

LET ME BE HERE WITH WHAT IS HERE, NOT WITH WHAT IS NOT HERE
